Rondo is a live Friday-night-party with host Petter Nome and his crazy stunt reporter Synnove Svabo. Each Friday, a number of guests, Norwegian and international artists, the Rondo-band and the live studio audience of 200, contributes to make Rondo one of the most popular Norwegian TV programs in the 90s.
Rondo's main trademark, is the mixture of rock & roll, high speed and sequences with substance and content. From the very beginning, the program has been divided in two parts. The first hour is dedicated to high speed, fun and and rock & roll, while the last half hour "nachspiel" is a close encounter with Rondo's Guest-Of-The-Week. This guest has been picked out and voted upon by the home audience. He or she will try to answer a number of questions sent in by the home audience in beforehand.

Idea and format was developed during the spring of 1993 by host Petter Nome, producer Paal Veiglum and project leader Vidar Nordli-Mathisen.
